Here's What You'll Learn

Twitter

In the past two weeks, Twitter just launched their brand new "list system" that is in beta. We're going to talk about how to use this feature, why it's important to you, and what it means for your Etsy business. You're also going to learn about a BRAND NEW SITE I found that helps manage your Twitter following. This site alone has helped me gain 700 new targeted followers in the past 5 days! I've been using it to start following targeted people on Twitter and get rid of all of the deadbeat followers who don't care about following you back.

Time Management

You're going to use some of the most important time management tips that I use every single day. Some are simple, like how to use to-do lists each day. And some are a little more 'off beat'... like how using an egg timer can be your best friend when you're surfing online. :)

Facebook

Along with Twitter's new list system, Facebook launched the new home feed. Some people like this and some people don't... so we're going to go over what the new feed looks like and how you can set it up specifically to what you like. We'll also be going over the feed works and show you exactly what your friends and fans are seeing when you post things. We'll also be going over your fan page and how you can start building loads of social proof so people trust you from the time that they see your site. We'll also focus on really interacting with your fans and how to create a conversation with them to keep them engaged.

Webinar was a blast
I learned to kind of simplify and streamline things just with the simple rule of

LIST ITEM. BLOG IT. TWEET IT. FB FAN PAGE IT

It would be interesting (as a photographer) to learn how to facilitate flickr into that as well

Jennifer

What I learnt at the webinar: a great new way to use facebook to promote my etsy shop.

Thanks so much for putting this presentation together!

Judu O’Sullivan

This was one of the best learning tools I have ever experienced and I want to thank you for your time.

Patrick

Love the webinar and looking forward to HMU! I am hoping to get some ideas on how to increase the frequency of my sales! The best part about the webinar was the “marketing triangle” .

Meredith

I'd learned a lot this evening, but I think the thing that sticks out the most is working with the promotional Trifecta: Etsy centered by 1. blog, 2. twitter, 3. Facebook.

Shannon

The two things that stuck out the most for me about the info you guys shared with it are the hootsuite and the share button.

I never really knew how the share button on Facebook worked and now I do. I think it'll get me out there even more.

Jennifer

What I learned tonite! The Handmadeology Triangle.

That put posting of an item into perspective for me and was a quick step by step to listing an item.

Regina

I just want to say that there was so much great information that it was fabulous!

I learned many things but I will list only 3

1) hootsuite.com - This will be great since I am doing art shows every weekend and will help me have a presence online!

2) Blogging - My biggest weakness! Gave some good ways to do posts without feeling stupid! lol

3) personal website - To use it as a hub to direct my traffic to all my other avenues. Use it as a gallery and basic information station.

Thanks so much!

Susan

Thanks so much for your webinar tonight.

I took 2 pages of notes! You turned on a light bult within my noggin with the info about hootsuite.com on Twitter and creating, liking and sharing links on Facebook.

Great stuff!

Your webinar was a perfect place for me to be tonight. My husband has been in and out of the hospital for the past three weeks. He was admitted again today for blood clots in both lungs and both legs. I came home crying and your webinar took me away from the stress for a while. I look forward to implementing your ideas when life is back to a normal state in our household.

Best of luck to you in your business endeavors.

Laura

I newly learned that I should like and share my own wall posts, and that I really should renew stuff (there are debates in Etsy forums about whether it's worth it)

Ambient Girl

Last night was fabulous!

I had an absolute blast listening and learning. My main focus is on driving traffic to my site and I spent ages trying to figure that stuff out. It was very informative and I have a bunch of new websites to check out now! I have yet to have a good look at your handmadeology site, been so busy!

Patricia

I want to thank you for inviting me to the webinar....

I stayed for two hours and took notes. I'm actually making improvements that were suggested already!

Rosie

Great job on the Handmadeology webinar.

I think you and Tim did an excellent job presenting the information, getting past some of the technical difficulties without getting flustered or upset and you seemed to wade through the questions well.

While I use Twitter for both my handmade work on Etsy as well as for Recruiting (I'm a self employed recruiter), I was able to pick up several good tips. In fact, I implemented some of them during the webinar and in the 1.5 hours, my followers went from 68 to over 100! :) So thank you!

I'll look forward to future webinars if you should have them.

Dina

Thanks so much for the very informative webinar.

I liked hearing about how Tim organizes his time and wrote down the suggested steps for listing, blogging, twittering, etc. in a quick efficient manner. I also had never heard about etsy fee calculator and will definitely check this out.

Erica

Thanks so much for putting on this Webinar!

I would love to have a copy of it:-) I learned several things. The one I'm going to put in this e-mail might seem silly, but it was such a handy thing to learn about Facebook - the link button!

I truly appreciate the time and energy Tim has devoted to helping others from the Etsy world

Caroline

I thought the online HMU experience was really great.

It was a very relaxing experience as well. I liked that it was on the informal side.

Most importantly, you covered the most important topics that are all nessesary for online selling and exposure ! I learned quite a bit. I am not the bightest leaf on the internet tree so it was very usefull for me. I'm a baby boomer and couldn't even turn on a computer two years ago !!!!

I'm not kidding you ! LOL I had galleries that did all the selling and marketing for me so I didn't have to learn this stuff then.

All in all I give you and Tim a high score for the webinar the other night.

I'll be back for more !!!!

Lelli

Thank you for the invite.

I had a great time and learned quite a lot. As a Baby Boomer- I can get a bit behind on computer classes and webinars.

I learn many interesting ideas and tips for attracting traffic to my eshop.
